Basic Function:
Vascular practice, focused on patients with venous disease is looking for RVT to work in our IAC accredited Vascular Lab and accredited Vein Center. The majority of studies being venous but also include the full range of arterial and venous testing.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all vascular studies performed are of optimum quality and providing quality patient experience.
- Coordinate with office manager on any operational issues concerning facility issues and communicate any items of concern in a pro-active manner.
- Provide accurate coding on all vascular studies for maximum and compliant reimbursement. Coordinate with the billing department to ensure all testing is coded and timely submitted.
- Maintain IAC accreditation.
- Ensure the optimum quality of all vascular studies performed.
- Greet all patients with a friendly smile, correctly identify patients, prepare patients for ultrasound study.
- Demonstrate awareness of patient concerns and willingness to address and resolve.
- Always ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Document patients' clinical assessment timely and accurately
- Perform and interpret vascular examinations.
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and keep up to date with all system upgrades features and training for staff.
- Travel to satellite offices and perform vascular studies during scheduled office hours.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to IAC, HIPPA, and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain RVT vascular testing certification.
- Promote practice in a positive manner.
Skills:
- Excellent vascular testing skills including venous, carotid, and arterial studies.
- Polite, professional and upbeat attitude when dealing with patients and co-workers.
- Excellent patient interaction skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be able to multi-task seamlessly.
- Good time management skill
- Must understand medical insurance including practice participation and member benefits.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor level degree preferred
- RVT certification required
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in vascular testing

Job description
Very busy vein centers in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY are looking for an experienced Registered Vascular Technologist to cover per diem during vacations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform non-invasive testing procedures to evaluate arterial and venous circulation. Routine tests include Lower Extremity PVR, Carotid Duplex, Peripheral Venous Duplex (DVT study, Reflux study, Lower Extremity Vein Mapping).
- Ability to operate Philips EPIQ ELITE, Philips EPIQ 5G and Philips iu22 Ultrasound
- Able to perform studies independently without
- Compile test results and create preliminary report using Criterions EMR
- Provide coverage for other vascular
- Maintain BCLS, and Infection Control Certification.
- Perform other related duties as
- Conform to all applicable HIPAA, Billing Compliance, and safety
- Uses Infection Control practices and procedures including, but not limited to, ensuring sterilized materials, hand washing and adheres to sterile boundaries.
